Professional experience as an SJW is a transformative part of the program. Each volunteer will serve in an area nonprofit organization that is related to the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Current placement opportunities are described below. Healthcare and Public Health

Carondelet Village 


A St Joseph Worker at Carondelet Village works with seniors to promote independence and wellness, and coordinates services that help manage chronic and complex conditions. The position focuses on health and holistic wellness (physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational and social) with aging populations through a personally designed approach that recognizes and builds on each individual’s unique strengths.

Catholic Charities • Nursing Case Manager

As a Nursing Case Manager, you are responsible for nursing case management services assisting clients with access to supportive services and helping clients set goals for themselves. You’re able to work effectively with clients with complex psychosocial concerns including mental health issues, unstable housing, unemployment, dysfunctional relationships, and legal concerns. This position involves working from a primary office location, but includes 5-6 client home visits each month.

At PPL, this position as Volunteer Projects Coordinator will assist in identifying, prioritizing and scheduling projects for volunteer groups and residents at PPL housing sites to enhance quality of life at housing communities and meet basic resident needs.

Work with the Advocates in volunteer coordination and community education and outreach to support the work of women’s human rights, human trafficking, refugee and immigrant rights and diaspora community engagement.

As an Employment Navigator, you will help Catholic Charities program participants one-on-one and in group settings increase their employability, find gainful employment, and ultimately strengthen their financial stability.

The Justice Commission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet focuses on promoting awareness and education, taking action and providing opportunities for others to take action that leads to systematic change.

Cretin-Derham Hall High School- Campus Ministry Team

At Cretin Derham Hall, serve the students and community as part of the campus Ministry team, engaging in group service projects, justice programming throughout the year, serving as a mentor to justice groups on campus, helping plan and lead liturgies and be involved in retreat and specialized projects based on need and your unique skills.
